      • Adhi kEsava perumAL nAchiyAr thirukkOlam (dressed as thAyAr). A quick note on nAchiyAr thirukkOlam (emperumAn dressing up as srI mahAlakshmi thAyAr). An incident is identified in thiruppAvai 4th pAsuram vyAkyAnam. Once during adhyayana uthsavam, namperumAL adorns nAchiyAr thirukkOlam and invites parAsara bhattar to take a close look at him. bhattar (who is the son of kUrathAzhwAn and the adopted son of perumAL and thAyAr and was personally attended by thAyAr in his childhood) is usually biased towards thAyAr. When namperumAL asks if he matches the beauty of thAyAr, bhattar replies "Everything is OK, but the mercy seen in thAyAr's divine eyes is missing". A gem of an incident from the lives of our pUrvAchAryas - well known for many, but a gentle reminder to highlight the importance of nAchiyAr thirukkOlam.
