On this day, emperumAnAr is majestically seated in sEsha (Adhi sEshan - snake) vAhanam in the morning and yAnai (elephant) vAhanam in the evening. In the morning, srImath paramahamsa ithyAdhi gOvindha yathirAja jIyar swamy recites a portion of mumukshuppadi (thirumanthra prakaraNam) in front of emperumAnAr. He is then honored with garlands, shawl, etc from emperumAnAr. thirumanthram firmly establishes that jIvAthmA is an eternal servant of bhagavAn, he is fully protected by bhagavAn only and his actions should fully focus on serving emperumAn for emperumAn's pleasure only. sEsha vAhanam signifies parama purusha lakshaNam. emperumAnAr being seated in sEsha vAhanam signifies bhagavAn fully authorizing emperumAnAr as the owner of both nithya vibhUthi (paramapadham) and leelA vibhUthi (material world).
