On this day, emperumAnAr is majestically seated in a beautiful ratham (chariot) in the morning. It is a great sight to behold in our eyes. Thousands of people from nearby villages arrive in the morning and pour into the streets. Literally, the streets are filled with many who have arrived just to worship emperumAnAr. The rathOthsavam takes place over a period of 5 hours where the chariot goes around the town and emperumAnAr blessing every one.
