Today, in the morning, emperumAn is dressed in nAchiyAr thirukkOlam - dressed as srI yathirAja nAtha valli thAyAr (srI mahAlakshmi) wearing all her ornaments, jewels, etc. Commoners say its "mOhini alankAram". But ones who are well versed in srI vaishNava sampradhAyam say "nAchiyAr thirukkOlam". In thiruppAvai 4th pAsuram "Azhi mazhaik kaNNA" - an incident is identified. Once during adhyayana uthsavam in srIrangam, namperumAL dresses up like srIranga nAchiyAr and invites parAsara bhattar. bhattar is always known to take sides towards his dear mother (srIranga nAchiyAr). When he arrives to see perumAL, perumAL asks him if his attire like thAyAr looks perfect. bhattar takes a deep look and replies "nAchiyAr vizhi vizhikka voNNAthu" (You dont have the same merciful eyes like thAyAr). bhattar establishes that thAyAr is more merciful than perumAL and no matter how much he tries to immitate thAyAr, he cannot succeed in showing the same mercy in his eyes. It is this vaibhavam today in srIperumbUthUr during the morning puRappAdu.
