2014 - emperumAnAr uthsavam day 5

On this day, as part of the morning puRappAdu, emperumAnAr visits srI vAnamAmalai mutt, which is located in maNavALa mAmunigaL kOyil street. chinna kaliyan swamy (25th pattam of srI vAnamAmalai mutt) submitted a beautiful hamsa vAhanam to Adhi kEsava perumAL and emperumAnAr (after submitting hamsa vAhanam for srIvilliputhUr ANdAL nAchiyAr and AzhwAr thirunagari nammAzhwAr) many years ago. His thirunakshathram day is chithrai aswini (which happens to occur in emperumAnAr uthsavam). It is wonderful divine arrangement that emperumAnAr visits srI vAnamAmalai mutt on this 5th day of the uthsavam and on this day (whether aswini is passed or not) chinna kaliyan swamy's thirunakshathram is celebrated in srI vAnamAmalai mutt. 28th pattam - rAmAnuja jIyar swamy's thirunakshathram is also chithrai aswini. Today happens to be chithrai bharaNi which is the thirunakshathram of 29th pattam - pattarpirAn rAmAnuja jIyar (who is asmadhAchAryan - more details about him can be found in http://ponnadi.blogspot.in/p/acharyan.html). chithrai aswini and bharaNi (thirunakshathram of 25th, 28th and 29th pattam swamys) were celebrated with sEvAkalam and thadhIyArAdhanam at srI vAnamAmalai mutt, srIperumbUthUr.

    • viswarUpam (3am)
    • thiruvArAdhanam
    • emperumAnAr leaves from his sannidhi around 4.30am, comes around the temple prAkAram with sthOthra pAta gOshti.
    • oyyAra nadai (different gathis/steps) and echcharikkai (hechcharikkA - glorifications) of emperumAnAr being hailed by kainkaryaparars.
    • emperumAnAr arrives to vAhana maNdapam
  • Morning
    • emperumAnAr puRappAdu in thanga (golden) pallakku around the town with thiruviruththam gOshti.

 



    • maNdagappadi (stop-over) at many places along the route
    • emperumAnAr visits vAnamAmalai mutt. 




    • emperumAnAr returns to vAhana maNdapam
    • thiruviruththam sARRumuRai followed by iyal sARRu
    • emperumAnAr visits his avathAra maNdapam (at the end of vAhana maNdapam) - this is where 74 simhAsanAdhipathis (established by emperumAnAr) are present. 
    • emperumAnAr leaves vAhana maNdapam and arrives at kaNNAdi aRai (mirror room)

  • Afternoon
    • emperumAnAr thirumanjanam (around 12 noon) 
    • thiruppAvai, thiruppallANdu, thiruchchantha viruththam, thirumAlai, thiruppaLLiyezhuchi, amalanAdhipirAn, kaNNinuN chiRu thAmbu gOshti while applying thirumaN kAppu (Urdhva puNdram) to emperumAnAr followed by sARRumuRai
    • iLayavilli satajith swamy upanyAsam at srI vAnamAmalai mutt
  • Evening
    • emperumAnAr paththi ulA (puRappAdu inside the temple and in the maNdapam outside), jhUlA dharshan
    • nithya vibhUthi leelA vibhUthi - emperumAnAr performing mangaLAsAsanam to dhivya dhEsams
    • emperumAnAr arrives at vAhana maNdapam
    • emperumAnAr puRappAdu in hamsa vAhanam with thiruviruththam, thiruchchantha viruththam, thirumAlai, thiruppaLLiyezhuchi, amalanAdhipirAn, kaNNinuN chiRu thAmbu gOshti (mudhalAyiram completion).





    • emperumAnAr returns to vAhana maNdapam
    • emperumAnAr arrives back at the mirror room
    • iyal sARRu
  • Night
    • thiruppallANdu, kaNNinuN chiRu thAmbu, thiruvAimozhi gOshti and sARRumuRai 
    • emperumAnAr EkAntha sEvai - slow procession with glorifications back to his sannidhi
